Who we are
Vaultzi is built and operated by Vaultzi Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We make an app that helps you organise everything you save — links, articles, recipes, products, and more.

What we collect
We keep it minimal. Here's what we collect when you use Vaultzi:
- The items you save (titles, URLs, and categories)
- A randomly generated anonymous user ID — no name or email required to use the app
- Basic usage data to help us improve the app (e.g. how many saves you've made)
- If you subscribe, your purchase is handled by Apple — we receive confirmation but not your payment details
How we use your data
Your data is used only to make Vaultzi work for you:
- To store and organise your saved items
- To automatically categorise items using Claude AI
- To manage your subscription status via RevenueCat
- To auto-delete items in your Cheerio Bin after 7 days
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not collect your location — ever.
Our legal basis for processing your data is performance of a contract (to provide the Vaultzi service to you) and legitimate interests (to improve the app and keep it secure).
AI categorisation
When you save an item, the title and URL are sent to Claude AI (by Anthropic) via a secure server function to automatically suggest a category. This is the only data sent to an AI service. We do not store your data with Anthropic — it is used only for categorisation and not retained by them for training.
Third-party services
Vaultzi uses the following trusted third-party services:
- Supabase — secure database storage for your saved items
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — for automatic categorisation
- RevenueCat — to manage subscriptions and purchases
- Apple — for in-app purchases on iOS
If you use the email saving feature (forwarding emails to save@in.vaultzi.app), your email content is also processed by Postmark (inbound email delivery) and Railway (our secure server infrastructure). Email content is processed only to extract and categorise the saved item — it is not stored by Postmark or Railway beyond delivery.
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity on our website (vaultzi.app) to understand how visitors use the site. These tools collect anonymised usage data such as pages visited and time on site. They do not have access to your saved items or personal data within the app. You can accept or decline analytics cookies using the banner shown on your first visit.
Each of these services has their own privacy policy and data practices.
Data storage & security
Your saved items are stored securely in Supabase. We use industry-standard security practices and your data is associated only with your anonymous user ID — not your name or email address.
Supabase infrastructure may store data in data centres outside the UK. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR.
Data retention
We retain your saved items for as long as your account is active. Items you move to the Cheerio Bin are permanently deleted after 7 days. If you delete your account, all your data is removed from our active systems within 30 days. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@vaultzi.app.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data at any time
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you believe your rights have not been respected

Children's privacy
Vaultzi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know through the app. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest update.
